FPL 15/16

Fantasy Premier League is back!
The same like last year, we are given 1 month to form our team for the 15/16 season.
There are 7 players who are priced 10.0 or above: Aguero, Costa, Rooney, Sturridge, Hazard, Alexis, Silva. The challenge is to pick some of them because surely we can’t pick all of them in our team.
I will provide my suggestions on how to form your team later on.
You should not have a fixed team by now, because there are many things to be put as consideration when forming your team, including on the pre-season form.

For now, I want to concentrate on the changes that have been made in this season FPL: Chips and BPS.

1.              Chips
In this fasting month the first thing came out on my mind when I heard the word Chip is french fries! Not some tools in FPL. Anyway, The Chips are as below:
a.     All Out Attack – Allows you to play a 2-5-3 formation in the next Gameweek
b.     Bench Boost – The points scored by your bench players in the next Gameweek are included in your total
c.      Triple Captain – Your captain points are tripled instead of doubled in the next Gameweek
d.     2 Wildcard – Wildcards are now split into 2 halves of the season. First wildcard can only be used on the first half, and the other can only be used in the second half

In All Out Attack, if your mid/fwd did not play, your Chip won’t be returned, means you have to make sure that all your attacking players will play when you use your Chip

In Bench Boost, if your bench did not play, your Chip also won’t be returned; again you have to make sure that all your benches will play when you use your Chip

In Triple Captain, if your captain did not play, then the triple points will be given to the vice captain. If your vice captain did not play, you Chip won’t be returned either.

You can only use 1 chip in 1 gameweek, including the wildcard.

2.              BPS
There are few changes in how Bonus Points are calculated:

BPS Decrease For Pass Completion
2 BPS points awarded for 70 to 79% pass completion (at least 30 passes made) (instead of 3)
4 BPS points awarded for 80 to 89% pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 4 (instead of 6)
6 BPS points awarded for 90%+ pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 6 (instead of 9)
BPS Increase For Clearances, Blocks and Interceptions (CBI)
1 BPS point is now awarded for every 2 CBI (instead of every 3).
BPS Increase For Tackles (net)
2 BPS points awarded for every Successful Tackle (net) (instead of 1 BPS point).
BPS Increase for Saves
2 BPS Points awarded for every Save (instead of 1 BPS point).

From the above we can see that Goalkeepers and defenders are being rewarded a bit more. I personally like this, because I usually play as a defender.

Well, that’s about it. Happy tinkering to all of you!

I will be back for some input on how to form your team.

Cheers!
